Nice trim
This tank trim nicely balances chrome rails or other added chrome to the GL1200. One big advantage over chrome trim is that if it receives scratches (after all the tank top is pretty exposed to use) unlike chrome, it will not rust because it is made of stainless steel. Surprisingly, the manufacturer was able to give this trim a mirror-like finish. When applying it to the tank top, first any wax or silicone coating MUST be removed from the surface (a few wipes with rubbing alcohol will do it). Then you must be very careful when applying each piece because the double-sided tape which holds it there is extremely sticky and hard to remove once it has made contact with the surface (a good thing because that's what makes it permanent). It's a bit pricey, but essentially worth it.
