Laser Jama Chrome steel complete exhaust system to fit the GL1000 comes with all four head pipes, necessary hardware plus four (4) exhaust pipe gaskets. GL1000 mufflers have been safely stored in our warehouse hoping to come across the head pipes that we recently found for two sets. The chromium plating quality used by Jama is a duplex nickel layer with a micro-satin finish chrome with an average layer thickness of approximately 40 Mu. This duplex nickel layer gives 45% increase in corrosion resistance compared with a single layer of the same thickness. Together with a micro-satin chromium layer, the result is a corrosion resistant finish that meets the highest quality demands. This is proved by an ASTM (American Standard) rating 8/9.
Saber Cycle imported early Wing Laser Jama exhaust systems for years. Jama Engineering, manufacturers of Laser, Marshall and Jama exhaust systems, was founded in 1972 and located in Heinenoord, Netherlands. They made exhaust systems for all makes of motorcycles then we heard they went bankrupt. We were happy to find
based in the Netherlands referencing their long history in the development and production of exhaust systems for motorcycles but your will find Honda Gold Wings products.
The most obvious indication that your Honda Gold Wing's exhaust system is failing is a deteriorating appearance and increasing engine and exhaust noise. What is not so obvious is that your engine cannot maintain a proper state of tune which will lead to a serious power loss. Many times this power loss is aggravated by attempting to readjust the carburetion which will never resolve the performance issue.
Re-jetting of the carburetion is very risky and can damage your engine in the long run. So, if you have an aftermarket exhaust system that has not been built to stock specs, your bike simply will never run correctly and can never achieve optimum performance.
