Black drivers backrest for GL1200 1984 to 1987 does NOT fit GL1000 or GL1100. Backrest pad moves forward for easy passenger access. Includes a passenger vanity pouch on the backrest pad for finger-tip access by the passenger.
Disclaimer: The pouch snaps that secure to the backrest pad do not always hold. Some backrest makers now permanently secure the pouch to the backrest pad. Your options:
Secure the snaps with JBWeld to make permanent.
Add Velcro to pouch and pad to make removable.
Use pliers to gently squeeze snaps on either pouch or pads to square the roundness.
We firmly believe this backrest set is still a great value despite this issue given it is $100 less than other brands. Yet, our backrest set will serve you for years to come.

Backrest
The backrest for my GL1200 arrived within 9 days down in New Zealand which is incredibly fast and it fitted really easy as in the instructions. Very happy with the price and service which I will definitely use again.

Father's Day gift
I bought this backrest for my dad and he loved it. Everything bolted right on and fit great. My dad and I put it on in no time, and it looks good. I was really impressed by how quickly the order got sent out, and it arrived at my house in a couple of days. That was worth a lot right there.

made the wife happy that is 5 stars in its self works great bolted right on if the two of you are XX as we are you may have to get the Trunk relocation kit part # 93-202 it gives you up to 2 3/4 inches more room and fits well
