At 2000 RPMs, this GL1500 Hot Shot Alternator makes 59 amps, 19 amps over the stock system. At 3000 RPMs, the output jumps to 80 amps that doubles the stock system and is compatible with the stock battery. This heavy duty, high capacity alternator can handle extra lighting and other electrical add ons.

Q: Where this part is manufactured ? And how much does he weigh ?

A: The Hot Shot alternator weights 11 pounds and will not fit in any flat rate box unfortunately. It was made in China by Rick's Motorsports Electrics. Rick has been in power sport electrics for over 4 decades and typically makes electrics that exceed OEM standards. There are OEM factories in China that have achieved ISO quality control certifications used by major corporations.

A: According to the maker, this alternator is made to only fit GL1500 models from 89 to 2000.
