Our battery charger uses a safe .5 amp trickle charge and has optional 6 or 12 volt operation, a power indicator light, automatic shutoff switch that prevents overcharging and is compact and easy to store.
The charger plugs into a 110 volt outlet and the leads stay permanently affixed to the battery terminals. It can also be used for car, boat, snowmobile or jet ski batteries as well! Why pay $40 for a "Tender" that does the same thing?
Maintenance schedule: Honda advises checking your battery monthly or every 4000 miles or 6400 km - whichever comes first.

SUGGESTED USE:
1. HOOK UP TO THE BATTERY TERMINALS AND PLUG IN AFTER RIDING TO MAINTAIN PROPER CHARGE LEVELS AND PREVENT PLATE SULPHATION DUE TO EXCESSIVE DISCHARGING.
2. WHEN LEAVING YOUR MOTORCYCLE IN LONGER TERM STORAGE WITH THE CHARGER HOOKED UP, DISCONNECT ONE SIDE OF THE BATTERY TO MINIMIZE BATTERY POWER LEAKAGE DUE TO ON BOARD CLOCKS AND OTHER DEVICES THAT PLACE A CONSTANT DRAIN ON YOUR BATTERY.
YOUR CHARGER WILL SWITCH ON AND OFF, AUTOMATICALLY. THE INDICATOR LIGHT DOES NOT GO OFF, BUT DOES SHOW THAT THE UNIT IS OPERATIONAL.
