FAQ18 - Why
doesn't my cooling fan turn on by itself and why doesn't it stop
running?

Your thermostat
fan switch, which is threaded into the rear of your radiator is
dead or shorted out. Simply buy a new one. Dead wire at your own
risk! You just might get caught in summer heat with a broken manual
switch in the middle of a freeway or short your battery out with
a faulty manual switch. Neither is practical. Replacing the original
automotive switch may just save you a lot of unnecessary memory
work, overheating problems, as well as the risk of being stranded.
We offer our aftermarket thermo fan switch for models '75 to '87.
